Michael E. Petrie, the firm's managing attorney for more than a decade, is a member of the bar and licensed to practice law in multiple jurisdictions, including New York, California, Texas, Washington, D.C., United States Federal District Court and The Supreme Court of the United States of America. He also has extensive training in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution and has acted as a mediator on a variety of issues.

Our business, real estate and litigation team is headed by the former CEO of a nationally recognized real estate development company, who understands the needs of business owners and has worked with an impressive list of both large and small businesses. He has successfully represented clients, in oftentimes highly complex litigation, in the courts of California, Arizona, New York, Wyoming, Texas and Pennsylvania, and currently serves as a Business Law Section Committee Member of the American Bar Association.

Our Taxation lead attorney was formerly associated with the District Counsel Office of the Internal Revenue Service, thereby gaining essential expertise at assisting clients with a variety of tax related matters, and also has experience in business litigation and insurance bad faith litigation.

The head of our Intellectual Property, Trademark, Patent, Copyright and Licensing department is a member of the bar, is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, earned a Ph.D. in addition to a Juris Doctorate, and is a frequent author/ lecturer on intellectual property & patent protection.

Our attorneys have experience since 1986 with child custody and divorce matters, including extensive training in the area of divorce mediation. Additionally, the head of our family law team has held an active Real Estate Broker license for many years and his expertise in real estate is often called upon to assist family law clients in the valuation, sale and purchase of property associated with such matters.
